the Desk of the CEO...
Greetings from
Malaysian Institute of Management!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy New
Year - let's strive for betterment in 2010.
For 2010, we have lined up for you many interesting activities, there are the MIM Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) Talks which run on a bi-monthly basis, forums for Managers,
CEOs and HR practitioners, National Management Game, Manager of the Year Award and many
more. We encourage you to participate actively in MIM's activities this year.
As a development centre, MIM always conducts development programmes to enhance
professional management thought leadership, standards and competencies. We customised a
programme on Managing People for a group of MPH young executives to
prepare them with the knowledge, skills and competencies in management leadership
disciplines. 24 graduates proudly received their certificates and recognition at the MPH
Retail Management Programme Graduation Ceremony held at MIM Management House on 12 Jan
2010. The graduation ceremony were witnessed by MIM Chairman, YBhg Jen Tan Sri Dato'
Zain Hashim and the Director of MPH Group, YBhg Dato' Abdullah Abdul Rahman at the
presence of the management teams of both MIM & MPH.
MIM has lined up for you a comprehensive collection of competency based management
leadership training and development programmes that will advance your professional and
personal goals as well as your organisation's strategic goals. Please browse through our Training Calendar 2010
to find any suitable training programmes for you, as well as enjoy some savings as we are
offering a 15% discount for selected
training programmes conducted from January until March 2010.
We would like to invite all organisations to participate in the 2010 Malaysian Management Capability Index
(MCI) Survey Research Study which will be used to benchmark against regional
standards. A collaboration between MIM and Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC), the
Malaysian MCI is aimed at assisting Malaysian organisations to move up the management
capability value chain and this survey marks the 3rd year of research on management
capability of Malaysian organisations. For more information, please visit our website or
