From the Desk of the CEO...

Greetings from the Malaysian Institute of Management!

MIM is proud to announce that our Prime Minister, YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak has been conferred as an Honorary Fellow of the Institute! The event was held on the 19th of July 2010 at Hotel Istana. The MIM Honorary Fellowship Award is the highest honour that the Institute can bestow on highly distinguished personages. We want to record our thank you and appreciation to YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak for honoring us with his presence as well as to our sponsors and members who have contributed and supported to make this event a success!

Malaysian Institute of Management also has been awarded the "Special Award for Contribution to Management". The award was identified by CMO Asia Advisory Board and Advisory Council of World Brand Congress. As CEO and representing the image of MIM, I received the award on behalf of the Institute at Suntec Singapore on 23rd July 2010.

49 young Malaysian leaders of different gender, ethnic origin and religious background came from various states in Malaysia and participated in the MIM-MS TRYLA this year and completed their enriching MIM-MS TRYLA journey at the Closing Ceremony Dinner which was held at Safir Room, Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur on Monday, 26 July 2010. We in MIM would like to thank the guest of honour, YABhg Tun Hajjah Rahah Bte Tan Sri Mohd Noah, wife of the late Tun Abdul Razak who graced the Closing Ceremony Dinner. Present in the event were also YTM Tunku Dato Kamel, Chairman, Masterskill Education Group Berhad,YBhg Dato' Ng Tieh Chuan, Vice Chairman, Malaysian Institute of Management, Dr. Nazily Noor , CEO, Malaysian Institute of Management, General Council members of MIM and guests of the Institute.

We are having our MIM-Public Bank Manager of the Year Award (MOYA) 2010 this coming September! Are you or do you know anyone worthy to be the winner of MOYA 2010? John D. Rockefeller once said "Good management consists in showing average people how to do the work of superior people". So if you are confident that you've got what it takes to be Malaysia's most prominent manager, do send in your Nominee Form for a chance to be the Manager of the Year 2010!
