From the Desk of the CEO... PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS

Greetings from Malaysian Institute of Management!

The Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) has been awarded The BrandLaureate Awards for 2008-2009 "Best Brands in Services - Management". The BrandLaureate is Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF)'s sobriquet for Brand Excellence Awards and it honours brand excellence amongst the best of brands in Malaysia and the world. We would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who have supported MIM in making this award a reality for the Institute.

The Institute brings you the MIM-KAS Economic Discourse with the theme, Riding the Tides of Economic Uncertainty with Value-Based Management. The Economic Discourse is to be held on 12 May 2009 at MIM. Invited speakers at this discourse are YBhg Tan Sri Dato' (Dr) Ramon V Navaratnam, YBhg Dato Haji Mohamed Iqbal bin Kuppa Pitchai Rawther, YBhg Dato' Ghazali bin Dato' Yusoff and Dr. Edmund Terence Gomez. Current issues affecting the country's economiy will be discussed, deliberated and debated. Register early to avoid disappointment as seats are limited.

In collaboration with Malaysian Association of Professional Speakers (MAPS), the MAPS National Convention 2009, will be held on 14 & 15 May 2009 at Putra World Trade Centre. This seminar will unleash your personal and professional potential. Meet distinguished speakers and enjoy their sharing of experiences. MIM members enjoy a special rate.

As part of MIM's CSR for the youth with the support from the Malaysian Intellect Development Foundation (MIDF), MIM will be organising the MIM-Masterskill Youth Leadership Programme 2009 (MIM-TRYLA) on 17-23 June 2009. MIM-TRYLA is specifically designed to develop young Malaysian men and women between the ages of 21 and 35 who have leadership potential, to prepare them for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead of the nation as it aspires to attain Vision 2020. Registration is now open!

Being the forefront in providing quality management leadership programmes, we have introduced two new programmes under the MIM Management How-To Series banner. Browse through our website for more programmes.
