23 JUNE 2010

From the Desk of the CEO...

Greetings from the Malaysian Institute of Management!

MIM launched its third National Management Game (NMG) at the MIM auditorium on 8 June 2010. The launch was officiated by YB Datuk Dr. S. Subramaniam, the Minister of Human Resources; witnessed by senior management teams of both MIM and Ricoh Malaysia. This year, the winning team will represent Malaysia at the Asian Management Game 2010 which will be held in Hong Kong. Participants stand to win an all expenses paid trip to Hong Kong, as well as the experience of playing the management game at a regional level competing with management experts from around the globe! We are looking forward to your participation; please call our secretariat for more information.

MIM is pleased to announce that the Conferment of our Prime Minister as an Honorary Fellow of the Institute will be held on the 19th of July 2010 at Hotel Istana. The MIM Honorary Fellowship Award is the highest honour that the Institute can bestow on highly distinguished personages. The Institute takes this opportunity to invite you to join our dinner in honouring YAB Dato' Sri Najib Tun Razak by purchasing a table or seat. This will be a great opportunity for you to invite your esteemed guests to this corporate networking and prestigious dinner of the year. Please call our Conferment Secretariat for more information.

In this third quarter of the year 2010, we have some thrilling and fun activities to offer! In July, we are having our annual MIM-MS Tun Razak Youth Leadership Award (MIM-MS TRYLA) programme for young executives and managers aged 21 - 35. This programme is supported by MasterSkill Education Group Berhad and organised by MIM. Do not miss this chance to meet new people from all around the country and the experience of what it takes to be a TRYLAN!

We are also continuing our MIM-Public Bank Manager of the Year Award (MOYA) 2010 this coming August! Are you or do you know anyone worthy to be the winner of MOYA 2010? John D. Rockefeller once said "Good management consists in showing average people how to do the work of superior people". So if you think that you've got what it takes to be Malaysia's most prominent manager, do participate in this exciting experience of competing to be the Manager of the Year 2010!

Exciting MIM-Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Talks topics have been lined up for you from the month of May to July. We in MIM aspire to constantly deliver the best in management practices by offering the best professional management programmes.
